Our shelter in Ban Taling Ngam. Visitors and volunteers are always welcome! |
Our dogs and cats in the shelter are always happy about a few treats and pats. |
We are also happy about everyone who helps us. Whether for a day or a whole year. Volunteers willing to get their hands dirty are always welcome. However, you need a volunteer visa to help us. If you are interested in supporting us as a volunteer send us an e-mail and we will tell you exactly what you need for it. |
We have a lot of cleaning jobs to do every day. In addition, of course, the feeding of our dogs and cats. |
The dogs that come to us are often so matted that only a drastic cut helps. Often they are so scared that they would not be touched without anesthetic |
Every month we buy over 3500 kilos of food. Then there is the food we cook every day and the leftovers from the hotels. |
Of course we also get a lot of food donations from our visitors. Thank you very much! |

Raffaele Sabatini from Raeggae Pub has organized a fundraising party for us. Actually, the 4th of April was planned and the invitations had already gone out. Then in the beginning of April we had such heavy rains that half Chaweng had flooded. The party was canceled at short notice. |
Raffo kept his word and held the party just after Songkran (Thai New Year on April 13). However, after Easter many tourists leave and we have now no more high season and accordingly few visitors have come. Nevertheless, we were able to collect 8825 baht (245 euros). I never expected so much to come together with so few people. Collecting money in the "nightlife" is not easy anyway. The Reggae Pub has also donated 3200 baht We have also received a super donation at the party: several bottles of Amitraz (washing lotion against parasites). |
We thank all who were there to celebrate with us and to support us!
Thanks to all your donations, we can help so many dogs and cats on Koh Samui. Please help us. Many thanks to all who supported us with money or donations in kind. |

The Wolfert Group |

The Wolfert Group from the Netherlands was there for several days. They helped us with different tasks every day. |
Cleaning was done as well. |
Foliage sweeping is always in demand. |
The SILAVADEE POOL SPA RESORT has donated a lot of towels and sheets. These had to be cut into small pieces. |
All of them diligently repainted the boxes and the dogs were able to return quickly. |
They also helped with the construction of the hut. The material had to be transported through the shelter. It was hard work for the youngsters, who were always exhausted very fast and had to take many breaks. |
And they even donated money. Thank you for your great help! |

Every summer many veterinary students come to take an internship with us. They are always highly motivated to perform operations. Unfortunately, they often need to be reminded of other, previously agreed duties. We expect them to come on Sunday to help with wound cleansing and other tasks. On sunday dr. Sith has his off day. Of course, Sith can not do any surgery on Sunday. That's when the students like to free themselves. |
The helpers arrive at the house in Chaweng at 9:00 am, and it takes about half an hour until the plan is written and everything is packed. Then everyone goes to Baan Taling Ngam to our shelter. |
