These are our new cat kennels in Chaweng: |

Mothers and their babies are mostly put up in Chaweng. Very often, they must stay in their cages for a long period of time and therefore the new big cages are just great. Unfortunately only a few of these sweet and furry rascals have a chance to find a home of their own; many unvaccinated ones won’t make it and die. With the cats we are facing the same problem as with the puppies. Many puppies die as they get infected with the viruses in the shelter. |

We always air-dry the clothes at nice weather conditions. Everyday we have to wash many loads of towels and bed sheets from the cats and dogs. So far we have purchased three washing machines... |

Unfortunately we had to cut back a lot of the "bougainville"-hedge. The bushes got to a size of 4 meter length and we almost had no more space for the clothes to dry.

The boys took all their power to do the job. Obviously they always have quite a lot of fun during such activities that have to be done regularly at the shelters. At first I was even cutting the bushes with a nail scissor. Now I would be happy to have a chainsaw. |

This is Pomelo. He lives in the neighbouring house in Chaweng and must be approached with attention: he is a tricky one! When something bothers him- he bites!ax |

Often we put up puppies in the neighbouring house until they are vaccinated and can be transferred to the shelter. |
With the puppies, that we always put up temporarily in the neighbouring house, our resident dog Pom just works out great. |

Regularly some cats manage to escape from our escape-proof garden- and then they come back via the roof! |
