UDINE (Female)

My name is Udine and I'm probably the chillest dog you will ever see. I wouldn't say I'm lazy, I'm just always totally chilled. I've been like that since I was a puppy, in fact, I believe I was born with a certain inner peace nobody else seems to experience around here. I've already got quite some years on my shoulders and life has not always been easy for me but nevertheless I remain chilled and perfectly balanced. I'm not so sure why I've landed up at the Dog and Cat Rescue Center but what i do know is that at some point I've lost almost all my fur and my skin was terribly itchy. Now that was a time when it was rather difficult to stay all chilled and cool but I managed anyway. Since I got to the shelter, that itchiness has stopped and my fur is slowly growing back. Probably thanks to the daily Smarties the dog rescue people hand out. They give us pills in all colors and shapes. I live in a rather small compound but it's nicely placed next to the main entrance and overlooks the whole open kitchen area. I spend most of my time chilling near the fence and enjoy the sun. I love the sun and the thought of the upcoming monsoon gives me goose bumps - and not in a good way. I avoid any sort of stress and totally love it when I get some caresses from the long term volunteers or the visitors. I never get up and run towards people or desperately ask for attention, I just stay where I am, at my lovely fence, and wait until they come to me. People who know me understand that and hardly ever overlook me. Visitors are rather rare these days, probably due to that virus that goes around. Covid-19 or something like that. Thankfully I don't need to worry about that. It would be absolutely smashing if someone out there could decide to sponsor me.
