My name is Poncho and I'm already a bit of an older dog. Most dogs in my compound could easily be my grandchildren. I have to admit that i often get pretty annoyed with the youngsters here at the shelter. They are so full of energy and play around all day long while I'm trying to sleep. I just have to remind myself that i too was young once and have to make peace with the fact that i live at a shelter where dogs of all ages live together in one compound. I come from the jungle area in Lamai where I was born and grew up. I used to constantly chase motorbikes and sometimes even nipped the people in the leg. This of course made me very unpopular and went so far that one guy threatened to shoot me. Patricia and Rainer who feed and help dogs in the Lamai are heard about me and decided to take action. They brought me to the Dog Rescue Center and i think it's only right to say that they saved my life. I'm trying to be grateful and make the best out of the situation.
Thank you so much to Maria Pia from Switzerland to sponsor Poncho!
