MATI (Male)

Hello everyone, my name is Matti! I have been at the Dog and Cat Rescue Center for many years and it's totally ok to call me grandpa. I was part of a group of dogs who live in a special compound just outside the main Dog and Cat Rescue shelter in Baan Taling Ngam. There is a proper bungalow with terrace and a nice big piece of land just for that group of dogs. We all had to be rescued when the shelter was very full and so an extra piece of land was added and prepared for us. Unfortunately I got very sick. That horrible disease called the big C, the cancer thing, attacked me and changed my life. I had it really bad and needed intense treatment and constant attention. The Dog Rescue People had no choice but to take me out of my group and place me in a single box inside the shelter. Since I'm not the youngest anymore and therefore struggled with the heavy medication I had to take to treat the cancer, I was always tired and therefore slept a lot. So it was ok to be locked up for a while. Thankfully it looks like we have defeated that nasty disease but Dr. Sith wants to keep me close for regular checks. That's why I was integrated into the little compound just by the main entrance of the shelter. I got used to it and have made many doggie friends in here. There is definitely more human contact inside the shelter so that's a positive thing for me. I hope the cancer will never come back and I still have many happy and healthy years to go.
