My name is Kiki and I have been at the main shelter of the Dog and Cat Rescue Center for many many years. You can call me an old-timer. I know pretty much everything and everyone and have my fixed place in my compound where I keep things under control. I live in the biggest outside compound there is at the shelter and we even have a pool. Well, there was a time when it was an actual pool, now it's more like an empty cement pit. Many years ago some lovely long term volunteers built a big fancy pool for us and it was super fun when it was filled with water. But maintaining the thing is a big job and I know that the Dog Rescue often struggles with keeping the most important jobs covered. So I understand that nobody has the time to care about the pool, and honestly speaking, we doggies don't care. An empty pool is just as much fun and we don't get wet. I have become the pool boss and spend most of my time on that cement thing watching over all the others and as soon as a human enters the compound I decide if I approach the person or just completely ignore them. It's definitely a great viewing platform and I'm grateful to the people who built it for us.
Alain from Switzerland will look after me in the future. Thank you very much!
