JOHN (Male)

My name is John. I was asked to talk a little bit about myself in order to hopefully find someone who would like to sponsor me. I guess it must be pretty hard for the Dog and Cat Rescue Center to come up with those huge monthly costs to keep this shelter running and to cover all the bills involved. Normally I don't talk about myself and generally do not like to communicate or interact with humans or the other dogs here at the shelter. I've always been a loner and I doubt that will ever change. I'm not sure if a lonely life is the best way to live but that's all I've ever known, I just like to be alone. Whenever people or the other dogs don't accept my character I get very grumpy. I remember the one time when the long term volunteers tried to give me a shower. Apparently I was covered with ticks and fleas and it seemed necessary for them to force me into the bathtub. Even though the little monsters on my body really annoyed me, the thought of being touched and cared for by humans seemed even worse. Ever since that day I won't let people come near me and apart form that one dog called Boris, I won't share my house with anyone else. I love lying under the table and call that my house. I chill under it all day long. Boris has only three legs and somehow I feel sorry for him so I let him come under my table and into my house. I guess I'm not that stone cold after all and with a bit of luck one of you appreciates my honesty and accepts my rather special character and wants to support me with a sponsorship.
