I am actually a real temple dog! My little sister and I were born close to the temple in Lamai and the monks kept an eye on us. We did not know where our mum disappeared. As the head of the family, I was taking good care of my little sister until we both started to loose weight and got weaker without knowing why. When the DRCS-Temple-Team showed up, we could tell from their faces that something was seriously wrong with us. First aid at the temple was not possible as we were told that we would need a lot of daily medicine for quite some time. And that’s how it was. We got a really nice room in the puppy house and were well looked after. With every passing day we felt a little better and to be honest, if you don’t feel well it’s easier to stay at the puppy house than at the temple. Not long ago the vet gave the O.K. for us to return to the temple. During the months we spent at the shelter, a lot has changed at the temple and many new dogs we've never seen before are now living there. We were scared and didn’t feel comfortable at all. We tried to make it clear to the volunteers that we want to go back to the puppy house. Here at the shelter it’s so much easier for me to look after my little sister. I am very thankful that we were allowed to come back to the puppy house.
Great news: I found a new home on Koh Samui!
While I was staying at the DRCS, Anja and Heli from Helsinki in Finland were looking after me. Thank you very much!
