CARMAN (Female)

Hello everyone, my name is Carman. I came to the shelter because I was in desperate need of help with my skin problem. I had lost almost all my fur and many parts of my body were covered in open wounds, some of them already badly infected. I used to live in such pain and mental despair for a long time. I've never really trusted people. Probably because every time I came close to humans they would chase me away and treated me like I was a walking disease. I remember so many moments when I just sat somewhere in a fairly safe place and just closed my eyes hoping that once i'd open my eyes  again all would be better and the pain and the unbearable itch would stop. Unfortunately that never happened and I continuously woke up to the same pain and the same struggles. It was hell on earth. One day some human had thrown down food in front of me and not long after i ate it I started to feel sleepy. Next thing I remember was waking up at the Dog and Cat Rescue Center. I got a nice big double box to stay in and funny enough the pain, the itch and the misery stopped just one day after I arrived. The people at the shelter took great care of me and were very patient with me. I would not have anyone touching me and I was very shy and suspicious at first. Over time I learned to trust them and settled in very well at the Dog Rescue Center. I even let some people touch me now. Thankfully they let me stay in the open kitchen area right in the front of the shelter. The only thing they don't like about me is the fact that I tend to dominate the other dogs. But I guess as long as the other doggies understand who's boss and I won't get caught up in a fight I'll be ok here. Is there anyone out there who wants to sponsor me?
