I was living nearby a school in Chaweng together with my mom and my three sisters Antonita, Maria and Lolita. One day our mother didn't return home and the school teachers were of the opinion that it would be better for us to be brought to the DRCS. There were also some dogs running around the school which could eat us alive. In Brigitte's house there were at least 40 cats at that time and they were not so happy about having to share the fish. For the first hours we were scared. It is great to have sisters at the hour of need. But after a short time we settled in well. There are always mothers who still have milk and we are always very eager to get some of it. Now we are all searching for a sponsor or a new home on Koh Samui. But it won't be easy to rehome us since we are neither three-coloured nor blue-eyed. The standard grey-white model is not very much in demand. But I do not want to mourn, we all live happily together here.
After a heavy storm during the monsoon, a big palm tree leaf has damaged the fence around the cat house and Manolita has escaped. We hope she's find herself a good life out there...
Daniela and Claus from Vienna in Austria were looking after me during my time at the shelter. Thank you very much!
